In this foundational shiur on Sichos HaRan #2, we tackle a notoriously misunderstood teaching from the tzaddik regarding recognizing spiritual difficulties as representing the ratzon Hashem. Using teachings from the Orchos Tzaddikim, the Mei HaShiloach, the Sefas Emes and Reb Nosson of Breslov, we explore three shades of nuance within the avodah of "surrendering" our lives to Hashem each morning and discover Rebbe Nachman's liberating teaching on simplicity and ensuring that instead of ch"v dragging us into debilitating self-doubt or sadness, our Yiddishkeit grants us life, vibrancy, joy, and vitality ("v'chai bahem!"). We hope you enjoy this shiur! Please remember to share with family and friends!
Learning on the Marcos and Adina Katz YUTorah site is sponsored today by Ariel and Breindy Lewis l'zecher nishmas אליהו בן מרדכי and by the Price Family in memory of Dr. Clifton Price, Akiva ben Avraham, whose yahrzeit is the 19th of Iyar and by a very good friend to wish mazel tov to David and Bridget Silverberg of Alon Shvut upon their gematria י-ה-ו-ה wedding anniversary and also upon the Bar Mitzvah of their dear son, Yonatan Moshe
