Ki Ner Mitzvah V'Torah Ohr. Olam Hazeh is compared to choshech. We need the light of Torah to guide us. The bonfires represent the light of Torah. the challenge of Lag ba'Omer is to rededicate ourselves to allowing the Torah to guide our decisions in Olam Hazeh.
