The first class in the IBC course Jewish Legal Values. The course will explore Divine Laws and their ethical reasons. This lecture addresses the issue of Taamei Mitzvos. Should we try to find reasons for Mitzvos? Can mortal man grasp a bit of the Infinite Will? Why do our sages speak of taamei mitzvos and not sibbos hamitzvos? Do the commandments leave a taste?
