Good evening Rabbi Simon,
Baruch Hashem, I was a talmid in your Shiur at YU back in 2001. My question is as follows: Could the fact that Yitro blesses Hashem prior to the giving of the Torah be a hint to the notion that we also need to bless Hashem before receiving the Torah? I believe it says in the Zohar that the Torah could not be given unitl Yitro came and blessed Hashem.
Thank you very much,
Daniel
