During the Yom Kippur war, Rabbi Chaim Shmulevitz demanded that his students in the Mir Yeshiva in Yerushalayim continue their studies with added intensity, even though yeshiva students usually take vacation between Yom Kippur and Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan. During the war's course, Rabbi Shmulevitz delivered six mussar discourses, which were published in his classical work, Sichos Mussar. This text is an almost verbatim translation of Rabbi Shmulevitz' lectures, with a few added comments. Enjoy, and be inspired!
