<br>In the context of a discussion of the current threats to Israel’s security, Dr. Michael Frogel describes how physicians and healthcare providers can help strengthen the Israeli medical system from education and research endeavors through disaster preparedness. The session provides an overview of the American Physicians and Friends for Medicine in Israel Disaster Preparedness Course, the Emergency Medical Volunteers Program for Israel, Birthright for Medical Students, and other fellowship training and research opportunities. The need to prepare for all types of mass casualty events in Israel, the US and abroad is emphasized.
