Description

The White Shul - The shiur goes through practical cases of borer on shabbos, and how one is permitted to do this on Shabbos. May One use a "Brita" filter on Shabbos? What permits a person to filter the NYC water which has "halachik bugs"? Can a woman in a hospital do a fingerprinting after giving birth? I made a mistake in the delivery of the shiur that I must clarify. I gave an example of borer with a deli platter having two types of deli on it. One WOULD be allowed to move one type in order to eat the other kind as this is called "siluk" and not "borer". It would only be an issue if one took the two types from one platter and separated them onto two separate plates as that would be borer. Thank you to R' Moshe Smith for clarifying!
